Dark Lipstick

YAY dark lipsticks are getting more and more accepted. WOO.

1) Lips by Topshop in beguiled (buy here) This bad boy is DARK. Its a really rich dark red wine colour and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I get paid soon so I HOPE HOPE HOPE sooo badly to get this colour its beautiful. Its a really good Vamped up shade perfect for winter.

2) Collection 2000 in Queen Of Hearts (buy here ) This doesn't look terribly dark here but having previously purchased this item I can tell you now that it is one dark devil. Its a smouldering red that also has a pop of colour for those who maybe are still shaking in their boots about dark lipsticks.

3) The Dark Side Of Nude Collection at Topshop (buy here) This one takes some guts. To wear in public. GUTS. I probably wouldn't wear this out, its way to dark for me. Although it is a pretty fabulous colour.

Brown to Blonde - The 5 Steps

Brown to blonde. Its a tricky, risky, embarrassing and nerve racking process.
I have (finally) made it to a glorious blonde by following these steps.

My reccomended steps.

1)Find what shade you want to go.

I made the mistake of not taking this first step. I just wanted to go "blonde." Just blonde. You need to know what shade will suit you, how light or dark etc etc because it will give you something to work towards. I just thought 'Right lets bleach this B****" and I didn't know what to really use or do because I had nothing to work towards. Take a look in the hair dye isle, look online or in a magazine. Don't make the same mistake I did and just blindly bleach your hair like there's no tomorrow.

2) Choose a lightening cream suitable for you.

I used Schwarzkopf Live Colour XXL Max Blonde.and well, I haven't had a lot of experience with bleach ( apart from sun-in AVOID SUN-IN AT ALL COSTS) so I don't know if my dislikes of it are just normal bleach qualities so I don't want to have to much of a dig at the product because it might be no different from other products. It did turn my ginger ( even though the box said it would turn me straight to blonde which I knew wasn't going to happen but hey its worth a shot.) but I knew it was going to anyway but it smelt horrible ( Your average hair dye smell but 10x stronger), the gloves were cheap and thin making it hard to unscrew caps of things etc etc and overall I just didn't like it but, its bleach. Its not going to be the nicest stuff to handle.

3) Bleaching - There is no escape from the brass.

There isn't. It WILL go brassy. It will. You cannot escape it. my hair was a awful luminous brassy orange. But I am NOT moaning. I knew this was going to happen its all part of the process. I simply bleached it again. It got lighter but a lil less brassy.

4) Tone Tone Tone!

When I say Tone Tone Tone I mean Tone Tone Tone. I used John Frieda Tone Correcting Shampoo. I have to say it did the job ( getting rid of the brass) which was great but... it also lightens hair A LOT so... I ended up blinding people as I walked past. Bright, Luminous, Highlighter yellow. That was my lovely shade. Highlighter. I ordered and even stronger toner to get rid of the yellow but of course that only made it brighter. A Muddle. I was in one.

5) The final dye

This is what did it for me. Just that one more dye. To get it too a good colour. A lot of people suggested an ash blonde dye to get rid of the yellow and make it look naturally blonde and originally I set out to buy an ash blonde colour but I ended up coming home with Nice'n'Easy Baby Blonde. It made my hair a lovely natural baby blonde. It took out the yellow and gave my hair a lovely shine and now I have lovely normal shiny blonde hair.

Tips

-Bleach the shaft and ends of your hair first then your roots because your roots will always get lighten before the rest of your hair.
-Be prepared to go ginger/yellow
-Once you dye it remember it takes a lot of maintence with roots, dulling etc etc so be prepared for that.
-Have fun!

Dip dyed hair with La Riche

So the new hair dye craze is dip dyed hair and to be honest at first I wasn't convinced. I thought they looked strange and a bit stupid but they quickly grew on me. I finally caved and dip dyed my hair with La Riche Turquoise + Violet.

I mixed the two colours with conditioner to make them paler. Its semi-permanent so its a cool change from your everyday hair and gives it a pop.
I would defiantly recommend La Riche because its so easy to use, you can mix the colours, they give a lovely rich colour and they smell lovely!  You can buy it here

The best things about a dip dye is on work/school days you can hide it under a bun then on weekends you can let your hair down and show off the dip dye.
The colour possibilities endless!

Clip in Feather Extensions

Feather extensions are getting more and more popular. Usually people have them glued into their hair like a highlight but they never really appealed to me but then I saw these.
Now believe it or not I brought these in the pound shop.
THE pound shop.
I just saw them and thought you know what its only a pound why not. They clip in like extensions and after I had one in my opinion of them instantly changed.
The purple feathers are a bit bent and scruffy but I thought they would be good for a party or night out.
I much prefer the brown ones for a cute causal hair accessories that add a really nice touch to your outfit.
And for only £1!

Hippie Chic

I've been such a lazy blogger recently but I'm back on track starting with Hippie Chic! Now hippies are often seen as wacked out unwashed losers but the style is unique and playful so lets mix it up and make it chic!

1) Lion Print T-Shirt Rocket (Buy Here) I don't really know why but I really love this t-shirt! Its so weird and unique I'm just instantly drawn too it. Its not a bad price but its defiantly out of my price range for such a simple t-shirt.
2)  Peace Sign Pendant (Buy Here) Classic peace sign pendant with a little twist of dangly chains to give it a bohemian feel and of course the all important chic feel!
3) Acid Wash Cut Off Shorts (Buy Here) Beautiful. These shorts are just beautiful. The colour, the style. everything. Plus they are on sale at the moment!!
4) Mexican Sandals (Buy Here) I have never seen anything like these, I love the tiny blue flower detailing and the design. Genuinely Fallen in love with these!

September Favourites.

1: Garnier Pure 3-in-one Wash Scrub and Mask (Buy here) I have had my eye on this for ages. The three in one makes it so much easier because all your skincare is in one bottle. I've started to wear my hair out of my face a lot lately so I've been incredibly tough on the skin care regime.
2: Nude Crochet Tea Dress Select (Buy here)  I love the collar on this dress and the colour. I don't usually go for a ruched waist but I really love this dress.
3: Collection 2000 Pump Up The Volume Mascara (buy here) I used to spend a lot on mascaras but I've sort of realised that most of the effect is in the brush and this mascara really appeals to me. Its not expensive so hopefully it will appear in my make up bag soon!
4:Black Lace Up Pixie Boots select (buy here) OMG I am in LOVE with these boots! They are only £18 absolute bargin. I love the quilted detailing and the lace up. I think they are just so cute.

Stationary haul!

I freaking LOVE stationary. Who doesn't? I did a massive stationary shop today. Tomorrow I will enter my last nine months of school and of course, new term NEW STATIONARY.

This is what I came back with:

Everything was brought at Tesco unless stated otherwise,
1st Photo: Pencil case, Maths set and colouring pencils: Pencil case- This pencil case was £2.48 which I think is a good price considering it has a lot of room and its quite sturdy. I love the pattern plus its a really nice material. Maths set - MATHS IS IMPORTANT PEOPLE. I don't know how many of these babies I have been through over the years but I'm going to seriously try an not loose any of the parts to this set. Its got everything you need and it also comes with a stencil. Score. Colouring pencils: I study a lot of arty subjects ( not art however..) so good colouring pencils always come in handy.

2nd Photo: Panda Highlighters, Pastel Gel Pens and Liquid ink pens: Panda Highlighters (from Paperchase Buy Here) I adore these highlighters! They actually make me want to revise and use them. How could I resist? Pastel Gel Pens (from paperchase buy here): They make writing fun. Yay! Liquid Ink Pens: I always buy these cause I find them so easy to write with. They really glide on the paper and don't make your wrists hurt as much.

3rd Photo: Pencil set, notebook and sticky back plastic: Pencil set: These are essential for me. Always good for a maths exam, all your pencil needs. Notebook: Can't wait to use this! Perfect for revision, doodles, etc etc! Sticky Back Plastic: If you go to school in the UK you will already have rolls and rolls of this stuff stacked away. Every year the first homework is "cover your books in sticky back plastic" so this year I am READY.

OTD Phone Cases?

My phone case recently snapped in half so I immediately jumped on Amazon to find a new one.
Now, I'm a girl,I like shiny things. I'm not usually into Bling or anything but I can't help but love these phone cases:
Rhinestone Crystal Back Case Cover For Blackberry Curve 8520Pink Bow and Pale Pink Roses Rhinestone Diamante Crystal Case Cover For BlackBerry Curve 8520Rhinestone Diamante Bling Crystal Back Case Cover For BlackBerry Curve 8520
I honestly think they're fabulous. I've always had simple floral designed cases so I thought I would have a change.
The diamanté cases are around £6.00 and I usually only spend around half of that on phone cases on line so I did a good thorough search through Amazon to get one for a good price, I even had a look on Ebay but I have had bad experience with Ebay. I came across this one on Amazon for £4:99  (Buy here
Butterflies and Flowers Rhinestone Diamante Crystal Back Case Cover For BlackBerry 8520
Its not as loud as the others and has fewer 3D items but its encrusted in fake pearls. How could I resist? It was free UK delivery which was a bonus. I cannot WAIT until it gets here!

FAME by Lady gaga

Yesterday I purchased FAME by Lady Gaga. Now I am a HUGE fan of Gaga so I was incredibly eager to buy it. I got the 50ml bottle; it was £30 in The Perfume Shop (it was 10% off)

The Packaging (sorry about the bad quality photo): I LOVE the packaging. The box is shiny black, which unfortunately is prone too fingerprints. It has a gold rim going around the edges on the box which I love. It make it looks so professional and high end. The bottle shape is an oval which makes it incredibly easy to handle and makes it a lot smoother. The lid is totally unique, I absolutely ADORE it. When you flip it upside down it creates a holder for the perfume. Completely unique! How many perfumes this? Amazing.

The Scent: I really like the smell of this perfume, its has honey and apricots so it smells really fruity and feminine but, with this it also has that classic perfume scent which mixes really well.
Its not too overpowering and is perfect to wear to any occasions. I know I'm seriously bigging this product but I am honestly expressing my own opinion, I generally adore this product.

I think this is a great perfume for a great price. Well done mother monster!

August Wishlist

1) Light blue sleeveless tie up shirt, £25 Topshop (Buy here) Even though we are moving out of summer I'm still wearing tank tops and tie ups. I love this because the colour is so refreshing and not too loud. I Think £25 is a bit expensive for this top, I can easily make one for much less.
2) Indigo High Waisted Skinny Jeans, £25 New Look (Buy here) I love high waisted jeans/shorts and the deep indigo really give these jeans the final touch. I'm officially in love with these but unfortunately I won't be purchasing them any time soon.
3) Topshop lipstick in Hazard (Buy here) Omg I am in LOVE this is exactly the shade I've been looking for and I've finally found it. Its only £8 so I will defiantly be purchasing this in the next few days.
4) Ram Ring £12.50 Topshop (Buy here) When I first saw this ring I thought it was a goat and because I'm a Capricorn I instantly wanted it, I then found out it was a ram, but I can always say its a goat! Its way over what I usually spend on rings, so it won't be hitting my jewellery box any time soon.

The New Rucksack

null (Multi Col) Floral Backpack | 258188799 | New Look

I'm not a fan of the rucksack. I think they are too chunky and don't look very flattering. I don't think their very stylish. But now a new, more modern style of rucksack has come about. I purchased this one for £20 in new look.
It doesn't have that chunky unfeminine look and the straps are incredibly sturdy and strong. It has a lot of storage space and the straps don't dig into your shoulders.
If you're not a fan of this floral pattern, you have a wide range of designs to choose from. Acid Wash Backpack With TrimMilitary Floral BackpackStudded Denim Backpack
All of these are from Topshop and they are all £34 apart from the studded one which is £35. I love this style of backpack. Great for school and everyday  casual wear. Plus I think they are just incredibly stylish, and different!

Galaxy Print

At the moment I'm really into Galaxy print clothing.
I love the way the print is so mysterious and fantasy-like.
I like this top especially because its baggy and i think if a galaxy print top was fitted it would loose some of its atmosphere.
This is from Zara, £25.
The best thing about this style of top is that you can so easily make your own with a bleach and some acrylic paint. Their are lots of tutorials on You Tube. There's a very easy to follow one by probably my favorite You Tuber http://www.youtube.com/FashionRocksMySocks . Have a scroll around youtube, there are lots of different tutorials. Plus ,why stop at t-shirts.
You can get Galaxy Litas, Leggings and even nails.

Its such a cool, cute pattern that's easy to achieve at home.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUXSt8yT9uQ This Tutorial shows how to get a very detailed look.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFauBl0zTvw&feature=related This one shows how to get the effect on shoes!

I love this print so much.
I think we all know what we are going to do next rainy boring day...

Make my hair BIGGER

I naturally had quite thick hair, but when I was 13/14 I thinned it out within and inch of its life. I still to this day have thin, limp, lifeless hair and it drives me CRAZY.
So today I took justice and bought a range of hair products that I hoped will give my hair a BOOST. The first Product I purchased was Herbal Essences: Curl Friends Conditioner.

Not going to lie, I got this in the 99p shop. Well why would I pay £2 when I can get it for 99p? Its a great deal. I then moved onto Boots and purchased Naked's Body Building Volume shampoo and Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Shampoo.

Now the Naked shampoo says " for fine, limp hair" so I immediately grabbed it and read the description. It said it could make my limp, lifeless hair bigger. It was £4.75 but it was so worth it. Not only does it smell AMAZING but it takes my dull flat hair and makes it THICK and bouncy. I will definitely buy this again because the results were amazing. It gave my hair a instant lift. I love it.
The reason I brought Tousle Me Softly and Its a Curl Thing is because not only did I want more volume in my hair but I also wanted some more texture. Again I was not let down. Because my hair was thick and voluminous from the Naked shampoo the Tousle Me Softly and Its a Curl Thing, gave my hair beautiful thick waves.
I could not be happier. My limp, dull, lifeless hair is now thick, wavy and full of volume.
I am so happy with my purchases! I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting bigger more textured hair that they apply the naked shampoo first then the Herbal essences Tousle Me Softly shampoo then the Its a Curl Thing conditioner because the results are phenomenal!

London haul!

I went to London yesterday and brought some really cool cute stuff so I thought I would do my first haul.
The first thing I brought was this domo kun wallet.
Now I have to admit I don't need a new purse but I saw this being displayed and I just had to buy it, I thought it was so cute. It was £5 in Camden lock and its really well made and Its such a reasonable deal.
It holds around 17 cards and has room for two photos. It has lots of different flaps and compartments which I found quite cool.

I much preferred camden lock to camden highstreet. In one of the high street shops (that I can't remember the name of, sorry!) I asked how much a watch was. When the man said £15 I politely said "oh ok, thank you" and walked away. He then called after me and offered me it for £10. I again said no thank you. Then he went down to eight and I accepted. Its such a cute colour But it was HUGE on my wrist. If I knew how big it would be on my wrist I wouldn't of brought it but luckily my Dad knew how to alter it.

After we visited Camden we went to the paper chase in Covent garden where I got a black scrap book to present my photography in.
I really liked it as soon as I saw it because it look so sleek an professional.

It has ribbons to tie it together which made me want it even more. It was only £8.50 and I got a white gel pen to show up on the black card. The all black makes it very good for presentation because its not all cluttered with patterns and things. It just a simple scrap book.

As for cosmetics I did have a look around super drug. I picked up the Barry M nail paint in mint green (£2.99).
The lighting makes it look bluer but it really is a very definite mint green and only takes two coats to get a really good solid colour.
I chose this shade because I would thought it would really go with my watch and it really did!

I love the two colours together I think it looks seriously cute.

The last Thing I brought as just the multiplier mascara from collection 2000 (£2.99), its nothing special just any other mascara.

Well that's all I got in London! Not a lot but I'm content with my purchases. Thanks for reading!

Beautiful Rose

Lately, whenever I do photography about 97% of the pictures I take are of roses. I don't think there is any flower more beautiful than the rose, the way the petals layer onto each other is just so pretty. These are some of the pictures I took:

The thing with roses are that you can wear them in your hair on your shoes on your bag you your shirt you can just wear a rose anywhere any time.
This is a beautiful chiffon rose corsage which will add a sugar dusted look to your outfit. Its £2 in the sale in new look which is a great deal. Plus its seriously pretty!

Roses cannot only look sweet and girly but they can also give you a edgy grunge look, take these black rose earrings (£3 new look) for example. They are cute but are also quite gothic and edgy. You can really roses, whatever your style.
Red roses are just the key to romance, so if your on a date, these red rose shoes (accessorize £9 down from £30) because their on your feet ( not the most dominant thing you notice about a person) the feel of romance will only be suggested, not definite.

Roses can look great whatever your style. Have fun + experiment :)

Denim Overload.

I went to Hever castle today to do some photography, and I'm not one of those girls that HAVE to be all dolled up 24/7 but its always fun to put effort into your appearance even if you are just doing some photography. Today I stepped out in this
The Shorts are £9 from primark and the Jacket was my mums in the eighties (vintage! love it) its simple denim on denim but as soon as my sister saw me she screamed WOAH DEMIN OVERLOAD. I thought  I would step out the comfort zone and wear this "denim overload" out. The look seemed quite dark so I thought I would give it a pop with these shoes
I'm not too fond of these shoes, I only really like the colour. They make your feet look really wide and odd.  Overall I'm happy with my denim overload. the thing is with denim is that you can either end up looking seriously chic or seriously not chic. Its as simple as that.
