Beautiful Rose

Lately, whenever I do photography about 97% of the pictures I take are of roses. I don't think there is any flower more beautiful than the rose, the way the petals layer onto each other is just so pretty. These are some of the pictures I took:

The thing with roses are that you can wear them in your hair on your shoes on your bag you your shirt you can just wear a rose anywhere any time.
This is a beautiful chiffon rose corsage which will add a sugar dusted look to your outfit. Its £2 in the sale in new look which is a great deal. Plus its seriously pretty!

Roses cannot only look sweet and girly but they can also give you a edgy grunge look, take these black rose earrings (£3 new look) for example. They are cute but are also quite gothic and edgy. You can really roses, whatever your style.
Red roses are just the key to romance, so if your on a date, these red rose shoes (accessorize £9 down from £30) because their on your feet ( not the most dominant thing you notice about a person) the feel of romance will only be suggested, not definite.

Roses can look great whatever your style. Have fun + experiment :)

Denim Overload.

I went to Hever castle today to do some photography, and I'm not one of those girls that HAVE to be all dolled up 24/7 but its always fun to put effort into your appearance even if you are just doing some photography. Today I stepped out in this
The Shorts are £9 from primark and the Jacket was my mums in the eighties (vintage! love it) its simple denim on denim but as soon as my sister saw me she screamed WOAH DEMIN OVERLOAD. I thought  I would step out the comfort zone and wear this "denim overload" out. The look seemed quite dark so I thought I would give it a pop with these shoes
I'm not too fond of these shoes, I only really like the colour. They make your feet look really wide and odd.  Overall I'm happy with my denim overload. the thing is with denim is that you can either end up looking seriously chic or seriously not chic. Its as simple as that.

Belly button piercings. Cute or tacky? - part 2

So change of plans, my friends getting her navel pierced next friday cause shes going on holiday. It turns out you can go swimming for six months after you get it done, which is a lil annoying but I never really swim anyway.
After doing some browsing of belly bars I realised that yes I would very much like to get mine pierced but, to my parents getting arrested and getting my belly pierced weighs around the same severity.

But how could you NOT want one of these? I think they are just so cute, not tacky at all. I've seen a lot of bars that I like but I've have to say this one leaves the all behind,

Its big and it dangles, its literally my mothers idea of HELL but i think it is just so pretty. I adore the turquoise and the gold, it gives it such a ethnic look. If I was to buy one outlandish belly bar it would HAVE to be this one. It also has fake pearls, what more could you ask for?

But as much as I would like too, I really don't see my belly getting pierced at any time in the near future.
oh well.

Lets have a full house of leather.

Ever since the beginning of 2011 I've been obsessed with leather jackets (partly because of the amazing leather jacket in the rocky horror picture show) but I never brought one because my mum thought they were incredibly tacky .
At the beginning of the year my uncle got engaged and as I literally fought tooth and nail to be a bridesmaid we went shopping for something for my sister to wear.
My sister is very much a tomboy and doesn't particularly like baring too much skin, so we went shopping for a jacket to accompany her dress.
You can imagine how angry I was when my mum offered to pay for a leather jacket. my sister is older than me, so she usually buys all her clothes, but when my mum brought her a beautiful leather jacket from warehouse after she refused to buy me one because she thought they were tacky I was STEAMING. Not that I wasn't having one brought for me ( I'm not at all spoilt!) but the fact she was spending fifty quid on something for my sister that she refused to buy for me.
Of course I put up a fight (who wouldnt?) , I'm the youngest, its my job! And of course my Mum tried to calm me down and said we would "share it"
I was mortified. Thats the kind of thing you say to 12,13,14 year olds, children. But i knew my sister was going to uni soon so I didn't put up much of a fuss. My sister maybe older than me but shes one of those naturally small people so shes a size or two smaller than me. So when she picked out a size eight I fell about laughing.
I have a weird hour glass figure, so i have a tiny waist and huge hips, Im a 12 on top, so me and my sister made a compromise of getting a 10.
My mother made a stern rule of  " NO ONE SHALL WEAR IT UNTIL THE WEDDING"  I was still a little bit annoyed, but having a leather jacket and not being able to wear it for a few months is better than not having one at all.
This is the beast me and my sister are "sharing"
Plus my sister rarely wears clothes that are brought for her so chances are, I shall adopt the jacket as my own.
But now I'm having doubts. I want my own. teehee.
Im browsing around the internet when I Discover this beauty.
Yes... very similar BUT ITS SO PRETTY. plus its only £30 in H&M. urm HELLO TOTAL STEAL.
Im sorry but leather makes you look instantly hotter. for example:
- Bruce springsteen
- David bowie
-Danny from grease
I could go on but I think this post if long enough.
But now I am left to debate. To buy or not to buy.
It may be cheap for £30 but its still £30 big ones.
anyone else hate decisions like this? Hmm...

Build an outfit: The 80's

I'm not going to lie. I much, much prefer old music to modern day music.
The only modern day artist I actually really like is lady gaga, other then that I like soft cell, simple minds, frankie goes to hollywood, david bowie etc etc.
Also pink floyd, queen and all the other 80's bands.
Another thing I love about the 80's is the fashion and make up.
I instantly fell in love with this picture the moment I saw it. The colours and the cross dressing and the make up just completely blew me away. I love the fashion and outlandishness of it all.
Now obviously I don't walk around in rainbow socks with a cherry red mullet but you can easily recreate the theme and feel of this photo and the 80's vibe in a wearable outfit..... but it may not come cheap.
Lets start with the t-shirts. You an easily get a "bowie" or "kiss" t-shirt on amazon, but the neckline would be horrible and it wouldn't look too flattering.
This top. This is the one. Its £24 in miss selfridge which is WAY over what i would usually spend on a top, so I guess it wont be in my wardrobe any time soon, but it really has that 70s/80s feel that we're going  for with this outfit.
Now for shorts. I am addicted to my high waisted shorts, I wear them with EVERYTHING but they would cover up the beauty of this top.
I apologise for the bad quality of this picture but the shorts would go dynamite with our fabulous top. I like these shorts cause it kind of reflects the vintage, bold Britannia theme that the 80's had. At the moment these shorts are £5 on sale in new look. Total bargain but be quick!

Moving onto shoes and tights.
now, the stripy ones are quite out there and will draw attention to your legs where as the fake suspender tights will give you a sexy, edgy look. Its up to you but personally I prefer the fake suspender ones.
They are both from new look.
As for shoes any bold 'platformy' heels will do.

These are both from new look.
what would we do without new look?
Well we've built an 80's themed outfit, have a go yourself throwing block colours and rock t-shirts together.
Who knows what you could create.

Belly button piercings. Cute or tacky?

At the moment its 5:19 am here in england and I have been up for half an hour. After many failed attempts to fall asleep, I gave up and decided to read some of my company magazines.
Throughout company people say who their favourite bloggers are, what their blog address it etc etc and it motivated me to make my own blog. So here I am, up and alert at 5:19 am blogging away on my very first blog post.
Since today I'm going with my friend to get her navel pierced, I thought it would be a good place to start.

To my friends a belly button piercing is a beautiful way to 'cuten' up your tum in a bikini or crop top.

To my parents they literally told me they thought allowing your child to get their belly button pierced is child abuse.
However, I am on the fence about the whole idea.
There is of course a way into a whole new jewellery selection to explore which I have to admit did throw me over to the pro belly piercing side a bit.
But then I think of my parents view and ask my self, would I really want a cold metal bar shoved through my stomach? And with such a large piercing you run a high risk of infection, which could get messy.
However I do think they look cute when your're wearing a crop top or bikini. It really shows your adventurous side.
For now I'm going to go pro belly bars, but we'll just see how my friends piercing goes...
